Description
The Singapore Society of Radiographers is proud to announce the inaugural Annual Scientific Meet (ASM). This ASM will be held at the Singapore Institute of Technology on 25th March (Saturday) from 8.30am to 6pm. The venue is kindly sponsored by the Singapore Institute of Technology.
Recognising the increasing need to showcase the good work done by radiographers and radiation therapists in Singapore, the annual scientific meet was born. This meet is focused on bringing local initiatives, innovation and research to a local crowd for a highly Singaporean context. We hope that this annual scientific meet will provide the Singapore practitioners a platform to collaborate, spur local scholarly activities and innovation for future radiography and radiation therapy profession.
For this 2017 ASM, we are happy announce that 2 workshops will be conducted. The Academic Writing workshop, conducted by Prof Ng KH (UKM, Malaysia) and Prof Wilfred Peh (Singapore), aims to equip delegates with the skills and ability to write academic manuscripts for publications with peer-reviewed journals. The Image Interpretation workshop focuses on the basic skills of image interpretation for the modern radiographer, this workshop is run by colleagues from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, Ms Heather Gunn and Ms Catherine Lyman. Please note that the number of participants for each workshop is capped at 40, seats are secured on a first come first serve basis.
The workshops will then be followed by a series of international award winning scientific papers presented overseas and re-telecasted in Singapore for the pleasure of our local crowd.
The EXCO would like to highlight to all SSR members that the 2017 SSR Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place during the lunch hour. An option to only attend the AGM is available on this sign up page.
